I was off for a hike bright and early, all set with my pack and boots. Just as I turned the corner by the local café, some clumsy barista stumbled and dumped his latte all over my pants. Hot, sticky, and straight on the front. Most folks would’ve headed home, but not me. Calm waters don’t make for experienced navigators. Instead of sulking, I shrugged it off and thought, “Why waste a good sunrise?” The latte stain blended right in with the muddy trail, and I still managed to reach the summit I’d dreamed of. Didn’t even have to spend my last buck! Funny how small mishaps sometimes turn out to be the best luck.
